Hi, I have seven children and homeschooled four of them years ago, I have one at home now and I really enjoy the Seton program,my daughter is 12 and in the 6th grade, this is her first time being homeschooled. She was attending a private catholic school in another town and by far Seton is so much more Catholic, I love it and have been telling all my adult children about it. I hope to find some homeschoolers near Jefferson, Oregon, God Bless you all

We are new to Seton, having used other materials over the years. We have been homeschooling our 8th grade daughter (13.5yo) and our 4th grade son (9.5yo) since our daughter completed our church Kindergarten way back in 2002.

We live in the area NE of Houston, TX.

Eugene, OR. This is our first year home-schooling. We have a son in ninth grade and a daughter in sixth grade. We're finding it very challenging!

This is our 9th year home schooling.
I've used Seton to various degrees over the years, from books only, to courses, to full enrollment.
Dh was layed off work back in June, so if anyone has a lead for a training, curriculum, and e-learning developer, please let us know!
This is my first year doing high school with my oldest! We go from excited to nervious wrecks at any given point in our days. I have no idea how I got old enough to have a kid with a moustach!

Is there a forum with each state/country that people can intro in for their area? Should be. That'd be nifty for parents and kids.

Oh and I have a blog.

Reading these posts because I am wondering if anyone has figured out how to get their Archdiocese clued in on Seton?

I am in the Archdioces of Boston. It has been embarassing to be the only homeschool family in attendance at the Eucharistic Holy Hour for Children at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston for the last three years. Yes, it is advertised, and there are other "Catholic" homeschoolers in the Boston area.

Although there is a "support" group for Catholic home school families in this area, and some may choose to use Seton books, I don't think any of the families have students enrolled with Seton. The three local Seton families that I do know have chosen not to be members of this group.

I am new to homeschooling and Seton. I am homeschooling a 10th-11th grade daughter. We live in rural central Kansas, near Salina. I have not found ANY Seton families/let alone Catholic homeschooling families in our area and it is very troubling. My daughter would like to socialize with other Seton/Catholic homeschooling students, but it seems impossible in our area. People here are very private about homeschooling, almost afraid to admit they do it. It's very sad. Everything is PUBLIC schools/sports ect. and it makes me sick. There is no support system for homeschoolers in my area, especially at the high school level.

We are in Nova Scotia, Canada. We have eight children and have been using Seton for 10 years. I figure I can retire from homeschooling in 18 more years (when the youngest finishes grade 12). My oldest is 14 and in grade 9. We have not had any other curriculum. It's the best! I researched Kolbe before deciding on Seton and have never regretted my decision. Good luck with finding someone local. If you put a notice in your bulletin or even at the nearest catholic book store, you should find someone close.

Hello, Seton parents - Thanks for this message board to see that there are actually other home schoolers enrolled in Seton! Yes, we are all too busy to post to message boards, but how encouraging to read your words! Have been feeling very lonely here outside of Boston, MA, where I have always homeschooled my 2 daughters (ages 11 & 12) and son (age 7) as enrolled Seton students - certainly uncommon in these parts. God bless us all! Sheila F.
