What does Seton consider essay format??

Postby IrishDancerAnne » Wed Oct 07, 2009 11:58 am

I am trying to work on the Religion 9 first quarter test and you have to write about three subjects they give you. They said to write in essay format. Is that 5 paragraphs?? One good paragraph?? Hopefully it is only one paragraph  Thanks,

Anne

I wrote one paragraph per point, as well as a short introduction and conclusion. But it probably doesn't matter much whether your essay is one long 3-point paragraph or a 5-paragraph essay, as long as you include the required amount of information. In most religion essays, I just wrote whatever I could remember that was in any way relevant to the topic, and organized it into an essay.
Good luck,
Micki

Essay format is 1 opening paragraph, 3 middle paragraphs, and 1 ending paragraph that ties it all up.
Hope this helps!

Normal essay format is what LatinLover said, but I didn't do a 5-paragraph essay for every one of my Religion test essays, and I got good grades. So just make sure that you get the important points into your essays, and sometimes that will be in one paragraph, and sometimes in more than one. Good luck! :D

I did a five paragraph essay for the 9th grade 1st quarter test. It did require a little more work than a single paragraph, but I found that I could organize the info better in 5 paragraphs. :P
Hope this helps!! Good luck on your test!!

I'm studying for my Quarter 1 Religion 9 test as well, and I'm preparing my essays. I think I'm just going to do one long paragraph for each essay; is that okay?

Also, in the Study Guide for the 1st Q. test: it says to memorize 5 Scripture quotes showing how Christ claimed to be divine. Can I just pick any five quotes that were included in the Lesson 7 supplement, or are there particular quotes that I'm supposed to memorize? :?

God bless, and pray that I do well on my test! :D
