Homer Smith and Mother Maria--Comparing paragraph--

Postby mcurran6 » Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:52 pm

Ok so I got an "I" on that  Because I didn't have enough detail. I did awesome on the test and other stuff. But I'm here to ask, what are some Differences between Homer Smith and Mother Maria? Because I need something more than the Chapel and Homer not wanting to do it. I got the stuff they both have in common like they have both suffered rejection.

Please help!

I suggest making two lists, one for each of them, of their character traits, then looking at those lists and seeing which traits are distinctly different. For example, Homer is carefree while Mother Maria is efficient...these traits are opposite. Also look at the book and pick out specific examples that prove those personality traits. Hope this helps :D

I suggest the same thing that dancer611 suggested.

OMG!!! I had the same problem with that and got an "I" too!!! so what I used is Homer is nomadic (he wanders the country), untrusting (believes he needs to be paid to survive), generous (he builds the chapel for Mother Maria and buys the nuns a bathtub), and patient (calm when talking to Mother Maria after waking up late). Mother Maria is settled (just moved to US and is planning to stay in one spot), trusting in God (belives God will provide what is needed), selfish (continues to ask Orville Livingston for things), and impatient (yells at Homer when he wakes up late). Don't use my exact ones but there are some ideas! GOOD LUCK!!! :D
