Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an orthodox (Newman Guide) Catholic college in History

Position Summary:

Seton Home Study School is seeking a person to help grade its High School History course assignments. Seton has about 4,000 students enrolled in its high school program. Candidates for this position would need a strong understanding of Catholic History to be able to leave accurate and meaningful comments on student tests. Ideal candidates should have experience with online learning, remote learning, or homeschooling. Candidates should have a strong personal interest and enthusiasm in Catholic history.

This is a part-time, remote position that can be done from home.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Grading tests
• Reviewing accusations of plagiarism
• Finding and correcting course and test errors
• Helping to create or improve grading rubrics

Requirements and Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of the Catholic Faith, World History, Church History, American History, and Western Civilization
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in history from an orthodox (Newman Guide) Catholic college
• Excellent written communication skills
• Able to work alone and be self-motivated

Highly Recommended:

• Familiarity with Seton Home Study School, its mission, curriculum, and services.
• First-hand experience with Catholic homeschooling (either as a homeschooling parent or graduate)

Seton Home Study School is looking for a part-time Instructional Assistant, High School English grader to work online for 15 to 20 hours a week minimum. Pay Range: $15 – $16 per hour. The job position requires a bachelor’s degree in English or equivalent. Responsibilities include grading high school English papers online and the position can be done remotely. The ideal candidate has strong English credentials, homeschooling experience with the Seton School program, and prior experience working online.
