Foundations of American Government

Catholic Homeschool High School Course

In this course, students study the fundamentals of American Government, exploring the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. Students learn how our country was founded by reading documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution of the United States, and some of the articles in The Federalist Papers.

In addition to studying the Federal Government, students also study the organization of state and local governments.

This course, U.S. Government Online, or American Government Online is REQUIRED. However, students outside of the U.S. can do an independent study in their own country’s government or take Seton’s World Geography to satisfy this requirement.
