Personal Finance Online

Catholic Homeschool High School Course

The Personal Finance course covers a wide array of practical skills such as setting up a checking account, purchasing a car, saving for retirement, paying taxes, keeping utility bills low, buying a first home, and even such things as shopping for clothes for a job and how to travel inexpensively. It further seeks to de-mystify some of the more esoteric concepts of finance such as how to invest in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. As an overall theme, it encourages students to view finances from a Catholic perspective—that is, to recognize the rights and duties of wealth, and how we can better glorify God and love our neighbor with our financial decisions.
