Seton’s Spelling Program
Proper spelling is a critical component in developing strong communication and reading skills. Seton’s Spelling for Young Catholics series runs from First through Eighth Grades, and includes increasing difficult words. Many words are featured in this uniquely Catholic spelling series that students might never learn using a secular series, such as words taken from Holy Mass and Catholic doctrine.
In Spelling 1 for Young Catholics, children study lessons containing exercises, practice pages, and a short religious paragraph which utilizes the list of words.
Exercises such as Rhyme Time, ABC Order, and Sounds the Same are purposefully simple to encourage writing of the spelling words.
